The Bayer Contour USB does not need a cable so it is a truly free PC /Mac compatible systems. Furthermore your data cable may only work on one brand/model of meter. Or is it? Side Note: Even though there are free PC software options available from meter manufacturers, you usually have to buy a data transfer cable which does not make them free to use. It may only be that when used onboth an iPhone and PC/Mac platform do the advantages of syncing date becomereason enough to pony up the money. The program can be used on asingle platform but considering the wide availability of free software for bothdesktop and mobile devices and the price tag of Diabetes Pilot for eachplatform, it may be hard to justify the cost.
